Victoria holds the most at 1,854 — 29% of the national figure — ahead of New South Wales (1,735) and Queensland (1,093). The smallest recorded total is Australian Capital Territory, with 75. They sit in 3,357 named towns across 3,494 recorded areas.

Melbourne (26), Adelaide (20) and Lake Eildon (18) carry the most between them. Those 3 account for 64 of the 6,445; a further 1,946 towns record exactly one. The single busiest is Melbourne, VIC.

Named listings include Perry Bend on River Road, Galaxy Park, Federation Park - Cobram and Barrett Street Park (Water Reserve). Around Melbourne the listings run to Alexandra Park, Observatory Precinct and Queen Victoria Gardens. Further afield the map records Eskbank St (NSW) and Sirens Rest Beach (VIC).
