134 public toilets at highway rest areas are recorded in Queensland, out of 602 nationally. That makes it the second-largest state total, behind New South Wales (269). They sit in 121 named towns.

The heaviest concentrations are around Basalt (3), Biloela (2) and Coen (2). Those 3 account for 7 of the 134; a further 109 towns record exactly one.

Named listings include Coominglah Range Rest Area on Burnett Highway, Isaac River, Rodd's Bay South Rest Area and Eunamurrin Truck Stop. Around Basalt the listings run to Gregory Highway Rest Area, Eumara Truck Stop and Fletcher Creek Rest Area.
